isatest!
This week was quite the challnege. We had two tests in one week! The isatest was ok and i think i did not so well on it. I'm just hoping that i do better on the unit test. Though after the test we were able to experiment with dry ice. We created bubbles and made dense balloons, figuring out that carbon is more dense than regular air. This was a fun experiment!

periodoc tables!
This week we did a lot of reading and learning about new materials. First we learned about the periodic table on monday and tuesday. Then we did a periodic table lab. That was ok, We had to place a buch of elements in order. Later we studied about atomic structures and isotopes. We learned how to figure out the number of neutrons, electrons, and protons were in an atom of an element. Finally we read a section on inos and their compunds. Mr.Olson showed us how when an atom loses a electron it gets smaller and the formulas for elements losing and gaining electrons. Overall a very long but educational week!

isaquiz and mendeleyv
This week in chem class was really interesting. On Tuesday we did a lab that included the periodic table and Mendeleyev. Then for homework we read chapter 3.3 to learn about atomic structures. Today, 9/10, we did another lab on the periodic table again and the patterns they have within the table. We also got our test score for the IsaQuiz!(Did fairly well) Overall a very good week!!
